When I started Hautedry 10 years ago, I wanted to create a place that broke all norms. We wanted to get back to 'old-fashioned' customer service with a focus on the people we serve.
I am a dedicated Mom of four young kids, a passionate business owner, a loving wife, and a stage 3 breast cancer survivor. Balancing family, entrepreneurship, and health challenges has shaped me into a resilient and compassionate individual, driven to inspire and support others on their journeys.
We've compiled our most popular questions for Amanda here!
Josh (Amanda's husband and co-owner) spent time in France in anticipation of opening the business in 2014. They were impressed with the ambience of the businesses, cafes and high-end retailers. With a love for 'experiences' we modeled a lot of our systems around capturing this French luxury feeling. 'Haute" [pronounced Oat] means 'high-end' in French, and Dry [for our specialty offering, BlowDrys] make 'HauteDry'. Our crafted word for high-end BlowDrys and Hair Services.

Josh is a co-owner, however he is not involved in day-to-day operations. He works full time as a VP CFP for Fidelity Investments. He is a visionary and a great leader, so he is an important support system for Amanda and the team. He always jokes that he owns a salon and doesn't get perks! It's true, we always give his appointment for paying guests. Josh, Amanda and her 4 kids love the opportunity to lead a team of conquerors in the beautiful community of Vero Beach, FL.

A Story of Faith, Strength, and Purpose
What began as a step of faith became something far greater than a second location.
Just weeks after opening our newest salon, I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. Overnight, the excitement of growth was met with the fight of my life. It felt like an impossible mountain to climb — building a business while battling cancer.
But by God’s grace, we kept going.
Through treatment, uncertainty, and days that required more strength than I thought I had, this salon stood — not just as a place of beauty, but as a testament to perseverance, faith, and the power of community.
This location represents more than expansion.
It represents resilience.
It represents hope.
And it represents what’s possible when faith carries you through the hardest seasons.

One of my biggest fears is being average and not fulfilling my greatest potential. I find too many of us walk through life going through the motions. I want to create an atmosphere that high-performing people feel like they can be seen and heard. We do that through centering all of our processes around respecting your time and giving you the best quality possible. Thanks for your loyalty, we wouldn't exist without you.
